
Palliative Care Staff Specialist

**The Position**
Our client is looking for a **Palliative Care Consultant **to join the team on a full time basis.
**The Role**
You will provide expertise and experience in clinical management and treatment of palliative care patients. The Palliative staff specialist holds a crucial position in offering guidance, assistance, and knowledge to the families and caregivers of individuals who have been referred for support. They are also responsible for delivering after-hours on-call support to ensure that clients and their families receive the necessary support during end-of-life care.
**The Hospital**
With over 285 beds within its various facilities, a dedicated team of staff and volunteers deliver a comprehensive spectrum of acute care services. This encompasses inpatient care, outpatient services, and emergency department support, catering to patients not only within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) but also in the neighboring regions of New South Wales.

**The Requirements**
- Registered with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent clinical experience
- Specialist Medical Practitioner (FRACP) with extensive experience in Palliative Medicine
- a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (AChPM)
- IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
