DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Must be familiar with hotel policies and procedures in relation to ordering, purchasing, receiving, storing and the distribution of goods.
2. Responsible for the supervision of a storeperson to ensure all daily duties are performed in an efficient and satisfactory manner.
3. Assistance to the Executive Chef in ordering from the daily food market list.
4. Liase with hotel departments for the adequate supply of beverage stock.
5. Ensure proper authorisations for all goods received into the Hotel.
6. Receive all goods in accordance with the Hotel's Local Standard Operating Procedure.
7. Prepare daily reports on food and beverage goods received.
8. Responsible for overseeing all beverage store inventories, maintaining stock levels, rotating stock and issuing beverage in accordance with properly authorised beverage requisitions. Posting of all beverage requisitions and transfers daily to the Hotel's inventory management system.
9. Conduct monthly stocktaking and costing reconciliations as required by the Finance department. Assisting in the provision of relevant reports to the Finance department.
10. To ensure the cleanliness of the receiving area and store areas. This involves the loading dock, back of house corridor, receiving office and associated storerooms.
11. Ensure empty crates, kegs, pallets, and waste hoppers are stored in an orderly and uniform manner and kept to a minimum by notifying necessary supplies.
12. Ensure that all work areas are in order and are properly secured at close of business.
13. The Hotel requires that you follow established Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations and demonstrate duty of care to all of our associates.
