Batch Operations Manager l North Sydney I Hybrid/Flexible Work

Reporting to the Head of Application Support, you will manage and ensure the smooth running of the AAL 24x7 batch operations function. Batch operations refers to the automation of core insurance functions (renewals, billing, etc) which are critical to Allianz regulatory obligations as well as enabling effective and efficient operations to service and support our customers and partners.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Leading and coaching team members, developing capability, collaboration & engagement
- Managing the scheduling function which includes a team of schedulers and administrators that manage, maintain, develop and update the schedule of 1000's of jobs and 100's of job streams
- Managing the operations function which includes a team of operators that monitor and operate the batch 24/7
- Managing the batch related release process (ControlM)
- Managing batch related tools, technologies, instances and environments
- Ensuring the smooth running of batch operations to ensure Allianz meets its regulatory obligations to customers and partners without adverse impacts on business operations
- Managing the service provider relationship as it relates to the batch operations team.
- Providing the appropriate levels of resources to adequately support batch processes, ensuring adherence to SLAs
- Identifying opportunities for improvement of current batch processes/structure

**Important to your success**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence
- Previous experience operationally managing a 24/7 with a large number of resources
- Deep understanding of automation and scheduling concepts
- Sound understanding of IT infrastructure and integration technologies
