An opportunity is available for a casual Medical Receptionist for a Specialist.

This role is perfect for someone who has a flexible approach and is available every day sometimes to cover sick leaves or annual leaves. Working minimum 2 days per week (15hrs).

**The applicant must possess the following qualities**:

- minimum 2 year experience as Medical receptionist (working in a medical field) if not, then training will be provided.
- experience using Shexie medical software an advantage
- Knowledge of processing Medicare and private health fund Billing & daily billing
- Strong work ethics
- A good understanding of computer software and typing skills
- Strong Phone manner with the ability to obtain the correct information on patients' individual circumstances to assist Medical professional.
- Medical terminology an advantage

**Role includes**:

- Checking in patients upon their arrival
- Answering calls
- Arranging appointments for patients
- Creating and maintaining accurate patient records
- Prepare banking which includes Eftpos reconciliation
- Collecting mail
- Scanning paperwork, results and letters
- Liaising with third parties and other medical professionals outside of the practice
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Typing correspondence letters to patients GP or referrals to another specialist
- Patient billing / invoicing and accounts for both in-room services and hospital admissions
- Maintaining office supplies
- Preparing and maintaining Treatment rooms and facility.
- Cleaning Bagging and sterilising of instruments
- General cleaning of office and treatment rooms
- Ordering of stock required
- Cover staff for annual leave or sick leave

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $23.23 - $52.83 per hour
