As the **Live Substation Trade Technician,** is to lead or be a member of the field based Live Substation work group to deliver maintenance, carry out repairs, operate, construct and test high voltage substation plant and associated equipment up to 330 kV.

**The community you will join**:
Based in **Brisbane and** reporting to the Substation Section Leader, you be a part of the field based team and work to deliver maintenance, repair and operate high voltage substation plant.

**Your expertise**:
**You will have**:

- Queensland Electrical Workers and Contractors Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Fitter / Mechanic
- "C" class manual licences and HR licence
- Current resuscitation and switchboard rescue certification
- Monitor, maintain, service, repair, overhaul, replace, construct, install, test and fault find on transmission substation plant, ancillary equipment including intelligent systems for condition monitoring, remote communication and control, and earthing to ensure they are in accordance with Manufacturer or customer instructions and standards.
- Utilise HV Live substation work methodologies to perform the installation, maintenance, repairs, and construction of transmission substation plant.
- Operate transmission substation plant and equipment to ensure it is carried out according to Powerlink Queensland procedures and practices
- On site co-ordination of work team/s
