As a **HV Field Test Technician, **Join the leading QLD Power and Energy Transmission sector. You will be responsible for ensuring High Voltage Substations are commissioned to the Transmission energy standard. We need professional High voltage Specialists with an eagerness to share and learn new skills to and help us build Queensland's next generation power grid.

**The community you will join**:
Based in **Townsville, Gladstone or Brisbane** you will be joining our growing team who play a vital role in the energy transition. our role will involve working throughout the state of Queensland, operating, maintaining and upgrading our transmission network and substations. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of cutting-edge protection systems and primary plant infrastructure in a high voltage substation environment. The role involves installing, testing, commissioning and fault finding complex electrical, logical and HV systems.
**Your expertise**:
**Essential**:
- An Electrical Trade Certificate with a QLD electrical licence or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement _(2-3 week turnaround for NSW or VIC)_
- An Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- A current 'C' Class drivers licence
- Demonstrated ability to effectively analyse and fault find on complex electrical circuitry and schemes
- Demonstrated high quality communication skills in a technical environment
- Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports and work procedures
If you do not already hold an Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related Electrical Engineering field, it is expected that you have significant progress towards one and continue to undertake studies to achieve or be willing to obtain. Powerlink will support you toward achieving this
