Our customers include some of the most respected brands in the food industry, relying on our expertise and commitment to safety to fulfill their commitments.What You'll Do Americold is seeking a dynamic and experienced Transport Director - APAC .
As the Transport Director, you will lead our transport portfolio, ensuring the delivery of fit-for-purpose, commercially astute transport solutions across Australia and New Zealand.
This involves balancing in-house assets and outsourced services to meet customer needs and drive profitability.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to Lead strategic and operational transport initiatives across the APAC region.
Oversee management of Americold-owned fleet and assets.
Drive compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR standards.
Build strong relationships with carrier partners and ensure audit readiness.
Optimize Transport Management Systems (TMS) for visibility and efficiency.
Collaborate with Commercial Finance and Business Development on pricing and tenders.
Manage P&L, budgeting, and reporting for transport operations.
Identify and implement transport synergies and growth opportunities.
Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all transport activities.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering talent and succession planning.
What Experience and Education You Need 6-10 years' experience in transport operations across Australia and/or New Zealand.
Proven leadership in managing teams and cross-functional projects.
Strong customer relationship and vendor management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Transport, or equivalent experience.
Certifications in CoR, NHVR compliance, or relevant transport safety standards.
Proficiency in TMS and logistics software.
Knowledge of cold chain logistics and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
