Job DescriptionGreencross Vets Chatswood | Full-Time, Assistant to the VetWe're looking for a relaxed and friendly Veterinary Nurse who prides themselves on being reliable and diligent, to work alongside one of our Vets,helping keep the wheels turning smoothly behind the scenes.In this unique role you will be assisting the vet during both consultations and surgeries, and outside of that - managing their schedule, coordinating communications, and helping ensure the day runs seamlessly.
You will be a steady, dependable presence who's always thinking one step ahead, sometimes solving problems quietly in the background, and showing up with thoughtfulness and heart.If you find joy in helping others thrive and take pride in being the person they can always count on, you'll feel right at home in this role.Key Responsibilities:Keeping the vet on track and on time throughout the dayManaging the vet's daily schedule and appointmentsHandling client call-backs and follow-upsAssisting in consultations with both patients and clientsAssisting with surgical procedures as requiredRunning pathology tests and assisting with bloodsOverseeing clinical notes and client communication utilising Heidi Health (AI Scribe)Who You Are:Exceptionally organised with a proactive mindset - a natural problem solverGreat with people and animals alike with a high level of emotional intelligenceComfortable working closely and confidentially with one vetCommunicates clearly, professionally, and respectfullyTech-savvy and competent with clinic software (e.g. RxWorks etc.)Able to multitask without dropping the ballBrings calm and positivity to the day, even under pressureHow to Apply:If you're looking for something a little bit different than your average nurse role, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and why you would be a great fit for this role
