**Job Description**:
The Compliance Officer is responsible for all the onsite laboratories conformance and compliance requirements as stipulated in SGS policies and site-specific requirements. Also, responsible for the implementation and maintenance where required of such compliance and conformance measures, **assisting onsite laboratory managers** to achieve excellence in clients service.
**Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:
- Develop and maintain a compliance schedule with templates that will enable site managers to meet and exceed deadlines.
- Implement and maintain an online filing system to house all site related compliance documents.
- Train site management in the use of the online filing system.
- Design a digital platform to avoid paper-based records where feasible.
- Ensure all site staff has access to LMS and understand the use of it.
- Maintain the chemical register is in place and update when required.
- Maintain of site documentation (safety / quality) assist to update where applicable.
- Maintain of site equipment register and associated maintenance and calibration records.
- Ensuring compliance to ISO 9001 of all Minerals Geochem sites certified to this standard and to all sites operating under this standard.
- Ensuring group compliance to ISO 17025, where accredited by NATA, at all times.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong business analysis using Power BI, Advanced Excel and SharePoint** **(Preferable).
- Professional qualifications in chemistry or a related discipline (not essential)
- Experience in laboratory work and chemical knowledge (preferred)
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in administration.
- Competent in using CCLAS LIMS.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems - ISO 9001.
- Required to travel to remote and regional Australia.
- Required to meet site entry requirements.
