  • Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST and BAS lodgements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements in financial operations.

About You

  • You should have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Hold professional membership or be working towards CPA or CA accreditation.
  • Have Big 4 or Mid tier Audit experience.
  • Display strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Energy & Natural Resources sector would be advantageous.
