Founded out of Sydney's Cicada Innovations in 2012, Prospection is guided by credentialled experts and innovative leaders within their respective fields. We analyse large health care data sets (script claims, EMR, Registry, Insurance, Commercial Supply Chain), to better understand the healthcare journey. Working with government, researchers and the health and pharmaceutical industry we have delivered evidence across more than 90 therapy programs, including rare and complex diseases such as oncology, immuno-oncology,
virology, metabolic conditions, respiratory and cardiovascular disease. Prospection is backed by Ellerston JAADE, Main Sequence Ventures, and Horizons Ventures.
The Opportunity
The Data & Partnerships Development Manager is accountable for advising and supporting
the Head of Data & Partnerships in identifying and negotiating strategic partnerships with
key players in the health care data ecosystem. This role will function as a critical part of the
team and will help drive the business strategy and securing of new partnerships globally.
This exciting role works with the Head of Data & Partnerships in identifying and negotiating
strategic partnerships with key players in the health care data ecosystem. This highly
skilled team member will be a key member of the deal team and will have significant
involvement in all aspects of the deal process including:
- Sourcing and developing new partnership opportunities that align with the company's strategy
- Assessment of opportunity and risk
- Designing, evaluating, and recommending potential partnership models and deal structures
- Deal negotiation and execution.
**Responsibilities**:
Sourcing, screening and assessment of potential partnership targets and opportunities through background research, meetings, and deal analyses
Take an active role in managing overall process for deals and partnerships, including assessment of opportunity and risks, partnership models and deal structure, preparation of detailed financial models
Work closely with key internal stakeholders such as the commercial leads and finance and assist with and participate in presentations to the board.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate development, corporate venture, venture capital, investment banking or similar
- Excellent communication skills.
- Independent thinker and problem solver with strong reasoning skills
- Strong analytical skills, including excel and power point capabilities
- High level of intellectual curiosity
- Experience working in healthcare, or demonstrated ability to quickly understand new markets
Preferred qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an analytical discipline (e.g. business, commerce, finance, or economics)
