This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

**About the Role**:
As the Principal Project Officer (Mathematics) your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Provide high level specialist curriculum, strategy and policy advice to senior management and clients on achieving educational excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
- Lead and participate in project teams to develop and implement curriculum, pedagogy and assessment products and services that support quality outcomes in schools.
- Develop and undertake projects with a specific focus on the STEM initiatives detailed in the Equity and Excellence strategic plan and the work related to the Schools of the future STEM strategy.
- Build stakeholder relationships including across government, industry and universities.
- Thorough knowledge of contemporary curriculum, pedagogy and assessment practices to support the planning and development of mathematics resources for secondary schools.
- High level written communication skills.
- Experience in developing curriculum and pedagogy resources and leading the professional learning of teachers.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- Ability to undertake evaluation for continual improvement of projects.
