About the role
The Principal Project Officer (Professional Learning) requires contemporary knowledge of and expertise in pedagogical and learning design frameworks, models of learning, research-evidenced teaching strategies, and Queensland curriculum and assessment programs, to deliver high-quality advice, resources and support to stakeholders.
The fixed-term temporary full-time Principal Project Officer requires strong professional knowledge and leadership capabilities. This role is responsible for leading and managing developing and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders to improve the quality service delivery to clients and effectively promote the QCAA. The Principal Project Officer will play a crucial role within the team and the organisation. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of Queensland's world-class education system. About the team
The Professional Learning Programs Unit is part of the QCAA's Curriculum Services Division. The Professional Learning Programs Unit is responsible for leading teams in researching and developing support services and materials to support the delivery of effective curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment programs
Your key responsibilities
- collaborate with teams to develop professional learning resources and services. Your focus will be on supporting schools in the implementation of the P - 10 Australian Curriculum, the Queensland Certificate of Education and the Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement
- tailor training programs, workshops, seminars and support materials for internal QCAA staff and other key stakeholders. This will play a crucial role in fostering a consistent approach to instructional design and effective adult learning practices.
- actively contribute to projects that design, develop and implement teaching and learning based training programs and support materials for teachers, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. Proficiency in designing and developing online learning and adult learning programs is advantageous.
- manage and deliver business priorities within specified timelines, optimising allocated resources to ensure efficient project outcomes; including effectively managing projects and tasks, aligning with team goals and incorporating client feedback to improve outcomes.
