**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Quality Planning Superintendent, the Quality Planner is responsible for developing applicable Inspection and Test Plans for production work which allocates the appropriate Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) that forms the basis for Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) certification

Quality Planners are also required to audit work packages and OQE upon completion to ensure compliance in accordance with appropriate Engineering, Quality, SUBSAFE and Corporate policies.

**Responsibilities**
- Development of applicable Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) for Production work.
- Audit review of all completed work packs and OQE to support CCSM certification.
- Maintain Quality Control processes, documentation and records.
- Interpret complex engineering specifications, work instructions and recommendations translating these into appropriate ITP certification records.
- Liaising with internal departments such as Engineering, Projects, Planning, SUBSAFE and Production.
- Provide coaching and feedback to Production personnel on work pack and OQE deficiencies to drive learning and a culture of continuous improvement.

**About You**

To be considered for this permanent full-time opportunity it is imperative that you display expertise across the following key areas:

- Trade or Engineering qualification in a relevant discipline, ideally within the submarine maintenance, ship building or heavy industry community.
- 3-5 years 'post qualification' experience within relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in reading and understanding engineering work instructions and technical drawings.
- A demonstrated experience in reviewing, determining and advising on the correct quality requirements pertaining to maintenance standards, work instructions and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated experience in auditing technical documentation and Objective Quality Evidence.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Effective time management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in problem resolution.
- Ideally demonstrate an understanding of Collins Class systems, SUBSAFE policies, corporate quality processes, maintenance routines and standards.

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
