The John Holland CPB Contractors JV (JHCPB) is delivering the $750m Western Harbour Tunnel - Southern Enabling Works. Western Harbour Tunnel is the newest variation to the Rozelle Interchange which is the final stage of WestConnex.
Western Harbour is being delivered for Transport for NSW under a Design and Construct Deed.
We are seeking an experienced Planner to join the Western Habour Project Controls Team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to undertake the process of planning, creating detailed programmes, and monitoring performance to deliver the best quality outcomes on time and on budget in accordance with JHCPB procedures.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Implement planning strategies and reviews for the construction team
- Ensure project planning activities are conducted in accordance with JHCPB policies and procedures.
- Interface with project teams, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, and subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures.
- Highlight any issues that may impact the effective, efficient, and professional planning resources and support to the project including implementing standard processes and reports.
- Implement project monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources & quality (project controls & earned value).
- Ensure that planning & controls reports generated across project(s) provide maximum cost and time forecasting certainty for project(s).
- Produce reports on KPI's and tracking progress
- Develop cost and progress s-curves
- Prepare weekly updates and critical path schedule analyses.
- Analysis schedule impacts and changes and develop recovery plans.

To be considered you will have:

- Minimum of 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related disciplines.
- Experience using planning software and tools such as Primavera.
- Proficient stakeholder communication skills and ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
