**Receptionist Wanted**

At The Pet Pad, we are all about caring for animals, while making them look and feel their very best.

We are a dog salon & dog daycare that has been operating for 20 years. We're currently undergoing a fresh new look and modern upgrades to our Newstead facility. To keep up with increasing demand, we are looking to expand our front of house team.

**Skills & Experience**

The only experience we require is a genuine love of dogs and customer service. We are happy to provide training if you have the right attitude towards the job.

The successful applicant will have:

- A passion for dogs
- Great customer service skills
- Availability of at least 20 hours per week
- A basic knowledge of dog behaviour
- Professional presentation and work ethic
- A genuine interest in the pet industry
- A flexible availability
- Organised and hygienic work practices

Previous experience in a customer service role would be an advantage

**Duties and Responsibilities**

As this can be a very fast paced job at times, the position requires someone who is both hardworking and energetic. You must be ready and willing to follow directions, but also be able to use your own initiative when necessary. A friendly attitude towards customers is essential.

Duties include:

- Serving daycare and salon customers
- Booking in grooming appointments and creating grooming schedules.
- Consulting dogs for their grooms
- Handling money and working the eftpos machine
- Retrieving daycare dogs for their owners
- Maintaining and cleaning work space as part of providing a hygienic and safe work environment
- Adhering to a professional presentation and work ethic
- Following policies and procedures at all times, escalating issues to senior staff when necessary
- Following good time management practices are a must; it is important that our days run as smoothly as possible to ensure the best possible service to our customers

**Availability requirements**

Our store is open from 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8:30am - 2:30pm Saturdays. The successful applicant will have high availability for at least 20 hours a week for regularly scheduled shifts during this window.

Unfortunately, this job is not suitable for those visiting Australia on working visas.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
