Key Engineering Position

We are seeking a skilled Principal Commissioning Engineer to undertake critical technical support and coordination activities on a digital railway system project.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide expert technical assistance to commissioning teams, ensuring test and commissioning activities align with Work, Health and Safety requirements. They will oversee the development and continuous improvement of Test Procedures, conduct technical reviews to ensure robust test coverage, and coordinate site integration activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support commissioning teams with technical expertise.
  • Ensure test and commissioning activities meet company and project safety standards.
  • Oversight of Test Procedure development, implementation, and enhancement.
  • Technical review of test documentation to guarantee comprehensive test coverage.
  • Production of timely Sub-System and System Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports at the project level.
  • Site interface management with clients, engineers, and third parties during testing and commissioning.
  • Coordination of site integration activities with Project Commissioning Managers.
  • Ensuring test documentation adheres to relevant industry standards.
  • Aligning test specifications and procedures with project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in a similar role within the Rail Signal industry.
  • Complex system integration expertise.
  • Understanding of testing's role in supporting Systems Assurance activities.
  • Familiarity with railway equipment and environments.
  • Proficiency in using Test tools and Database tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Familiarity with ERP and Configuration Management tools.
