**About the Role**
LOCATION: S U N N Y B A N K H I L S
- Please Note: at the participant's request, we are seeking a FEMALE Support Working in her mid 20s - early 40s, that has CLEAR ENGLISH communication and previous experience in Mental Health**_
- **Additionally, the participant would like someone that is warm and easy to talk too. Someone non-judgmental and will advocate for her as needed.**_
- **This participant requires a staff member that is confident in behavior management and has the ability to redirect and de-escalate as needed. **_

- Prompting and assisting with all Personal Cares
- Prompting with medication
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Light household duties
- Maintain critical thinking and problem-solving abilities throughout shift
- Must be proactive and take initiative
- Working autonomously to provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the participant's level of independence
- Great communication skills
- Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
- Ability to work in partnership with the participant to achieve their goals
- A passion for assisting individuals who struggle with Mental Health to improve their quality of life

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who holds a minimum of a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) **OR **has a minimum of 2 years of experience in Mental Health **and **the following qualities:

- Working with children card (Blue card)
- NDIS Worker Screening check (Yellow Card)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Current Police Check
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Driver's License
- Registered personal vehicle with comprehensive car insurance and a willingness to use for transporting clients (when required)

**Additionally, you will need**:

- Clear _Verbal and Written_ Communication
- Critical thinking with the ability to problem solve - knows how to take initiative
- Have a basic understanding of Mental Health
- Experience with Mental Health _(not essential, but highly recommended)_

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Fixed shift
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Mental Health: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
