We're seeking an enthusiastic and skilled **APS 6 Policy Officer** to be a key player in driving forward important policy initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to well-researched policy development that aligns with the department's strategic objectives in international engagement
- Conduct data gathering and analysis using a variety of sources to inform business decisions
- Coordinate policy input and prepare advice on agricultural trade and environment issues for international meetings and negotiations
- Brief and communicate with Ministers, the Executive, and other Commonwealth agencies on trade and international issues
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, including industry, bilateral partners, and other government agencies, to inform policy and achieve outcomes
- Coordinate and participate in industry meetings and international engagements
- Deliver programs and provide administrative and secretariat support to advance the department's agricultural trade and international agenda
