**About the role**
At Connecting Families, we are a passionate bunch of people that provide amazing CARE to our clients. As a member of the Connecting Families team, you will be key in bringing to life our CARE core values while making sure all trainings are aligned with the business requirements and manage the onboarding process for all new hires of the company.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Shared Services, this role will provide both breadth and depth in exposure across the business, allowing you to develop your skillset and take your career to the next level.
The Training and Onboarding Specialist is part of a critical team in our business that helps ensure best practice onboarding/induction and training frameworks across the group.
In particular, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and regularly update a strategic training and capability development framework targeted for field-based staff that shapes high quality learning across the employee journey (including induction and ongoing training requirements).
- Maintain an annual training plan / calendar based on consultation with key business stakeholders and incorporates sector/industry requirements
- Provide ongoing updates to the business on changes to regulatory environment that impacts on the organisation's training and capability frameworks
- Align organisational training frameworks with key client staffing requirements
- Facilitate new employee inductions and ongoing staff training workshops
- Develop content to enhance the organisation's training capability that supports both face to face and online needs
- Support the management and enhancement of internal training systems/platforms, including tracking completion of training modules and other related people records
- Where appropriate, align training data with other HR data and systems
- Support the broader management of probity and compliance requirements
- Provide reporting and insights that align with assessment of the organisation's training goals and KPIs

Training related tertiary qualification is an essential requirement for the role. Experience in a training coordination or learning & development capacity plus a good understanding of online training or learning management systems would be advantageous for this role.
