The Organisation:Sharp & Carter are partnering with a National Organisation to help them find a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Controller to join the Finance team on a contract basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in monitoring costs, managing inventory, and providing accurate financial insights to support decision-making.The Responsibilities: Monitor manufacturing production, warehouse, and distribution costs.
Ensure relevant contracts and jobs are set up fully in our internal financial systems, enabling timely invoicing, cost monitoring and report generation.
Conduct variance analysis between actual costs and budgets/forecasts.
Coordinate End of Month requirements for projects.
Review and verify purchase orders.
Support and analyse pricing decisions.
Monitor open purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery.
Provide ad hoc cost review support to the Financial Controller.
Monitor inventory movements, stock levels, and stock valuation processes.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate variances.
Your Skillset: Previous experience in cost control, management accounting, or a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Able to start ASAP.
