**The Opportunity**

UGL Utilities team are currently looking for an experienced **Cost Controller** to be based in our Perth office. The Cost Controller is responsible for managing all costs in the business and ensuring that the content of reports is accurate.

**Some key responsibilities of this role will include**:

- Develop, mentor and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and financial restraints.
- Track project costs, identify variances, and provide regular cost analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate cost forecasts and projections to support project planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with UGL's financial policies, procedures and contractual requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, finance teams and other stakeholders to manage cost related risks and opportunities effectively.

**About you**
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in cost control, project controls, or financial management within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in cost control software, financial systems (e.g SAP or Oracle), and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.
