**JOB TITLE: COST CONTROLLER**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Developing accurate cost forecasting, underpinned by data and stakeholder engagement.
- Communication with all project relevant service lines in order to consolidate all project cost for accurate reporting.
- Development of monthly earned value, planned value and actual cost metrics to arrive at an appropriate estimate at completion (EAC) while calculating cost performance and schedule performance indicators (CPI / SPI).
- Prepare detailed, accurate calculations of Value of Work Done (VOWD), forecast reporting and trend data for benchmarking and production of LEs and OPs.
- Produce or assist delivery teams in producing Project Change Requests in line with Petrofac Management of Change procedures.
- Assist with the cost control function including project control reporting.
- Ensure the integrity of financial information in the Project Control system and be able to identify issues, implement solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of the system, ensuring alignment between the ERP, project systems and database information, including statuses of approved changes, remaining contingency, actual costs and cost to complete, and that there are no discrepancies across systems.
- Review and consolidate project data, update and monitor cost curves and perform scheduling when required.
- Support project reporting and package engineers on cost status inquiries and reports.
- Produce cost reports, and assist the project team in extracting and analysing cost information, ensuring schedule and cost phasing data are aligned.
- Track and analyse all costs across the business, consistently conducting regular reviews and audits.
- Review and adjust project control guidelines, procedures, and reports.
- Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- Bachelor of engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification preferred.
- Proven commercial acumen and excellent communications skills.
- Extensive demonstrated analytical skills with ability to draw and interpret relevant consistent data from multiple sources and present information in clear concise reports.
- Extensive proven experience in the development and budget management of large scale projects.
- Extensive experience in the areas of cost management and project cost controls.
- Extensive experience in communicating across several different service lines / functions / assets.
- Experience developing processes and implementing systems to support processes.
- Advanced experience in Estimating/Cost Planning, and Value Engineering, with knowledge and experience of large, complex oil and gas projects.
