Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan.
ANI is responsible for designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Planner Scheduler to join our Operations team in Osborne.
This role involves creating and maintaining detailed project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
The Planner Scheduler will collaborate closely with various teams to gather information, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as needed.
The role also includes identifying potential delays and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and keep the project on track.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Creating a 12-month maintenance plan and distributing it into monthly schedules aligned with operational priorities and resource availability.
Developing detailed work instructions and material lists.
Acting as a liaison between Supervisor, Operations, Engineering, and external stakeholders.
Leading planning meetings with updates on schedules, backlogs, and issues.
Coordinating and maintaining materials and stock levels.
Seeking strategic improvements and supporting their implementation.
About You:
You will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and sound organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in delivering services and scope of works is required.
You will also have a strong safety focus with a proactive approach to planning work and managing Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) issues to resolution.
This position suits a person with strong initiative, excellent people skills, and communication skills who enjoys working in an industrial setting.
You will also have:
Minimum 5 years of trade experience in a relevant discipline such as Electrical, Fitting, Turning/Mechanical.
Suitable Computerised Maintenance Management Systems experience.
Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., civil engineering) are favourably regarded.
Experience in Common User Facilities is strongly desirable.
Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management abilities and experience.
Dedicated mechanical or electrical technical aptitude.
