Job Title: JS2 Truck MechanicSUMMARY:Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on hostler trucks, vans, and pick-up trucks owned by Parsec, as well as emergency repairs on equipment owned by other contractors at the Terminal.Inspect equipment for damage or failures, perform diagnostics and repairs, fuel equipment, change and reassemble tires, and replace damaged or defective components, including fabricating parts as needed.Maintain a clean shop area and perform stocking functions.

Must be able to work any shift (day, swing, night) and weekends.
Company provides training.
Health insurance and benefits are available.Current Schedule:3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, and 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, subject to change after 6 monthsThis position is unionized: After a 120-day probation, employees become union members.
Shift changes occur every six months.Must be 18 years or olderValid driver's license requiredPrevious auto and truck mechanical experience requiredWilling to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAdhere to safety rules, policies, and wear required safety equipmentComplete lawful post-offer, pre-employment checks including criminal background and drug screeningPhysical Job Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, balancing on elevated catwalks, bending, and graspingJob Details:Full-timePay: $23.29 - $31.80 per hourMinimum 40 hours/week8-hour shifts, holidays, Monday to Friday, overtimeExperience:At least 2 years of diesel engine repair experience requiredUniversal Logistics provides supply chain solutions across the US, Mexico, Canada, and Colombia, including transportation, intermodal, drayage, contracted logistics, and global trade management.
