Job Title: Truck Mechanic (JS1)

SUMMARY:

- Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on hostler trucks, vans, and pick-up trucks owned by Parsec, as well as emergency maintenance on equipment owned by other contractors at the Terminal.
- Inspect equipment for damage or failures, perform diagnostics and repairs, fuel equipment, break down and reassemble tires, and replace damaged or defective components, including fabricating parts as needed.
- Assist in cleaning the shop area and stocking supplies. All work must be performed safely and efficiently.

- The Intermodal terminal operates 24/7. Must be able to work any shift (day, swing, night) and weekends. Training provided. Health insurance and benefits available.

Current Schedule:

- 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, and 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, subject to change at 6 months

Union Status:

- This position is unionized. After a 120-day probation, employees will become union members. Shift changes occur every six months.

Minimum Requirements:

- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license
- Previous auto and truck mechanical experience (minimum 2 years)
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Adhere to safety policies and wear required safety equipment
- Successful completion of background checks and drug screening

Physical Job Requirements:

- Frequent standing, walking, balancing on elevated catwalks, bending, and grasping

Job Details:

- Type: Full-time
- Pay: $23.29 - $31.80 per hour
- Hours: No less than 40 hours/week
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, holidays, Monday to Friday, overtime

Experience Required:

- Diesel engine repair: 2 years
