The Production Scheduler operates within the manufacturing and production environment. This role is integral to the efficient functioning of the production process, ensuring that manufacturing schedules are aligned with business goals, customer demand, available resources, ensuring efficient and cost effective operations and timely delivery of products.

Core responsibility:

- Manage production schedules that ensure the timely and efficient production of goods by allocating resources, and monitoring the progress of production operations.
- Develop and Manage Production Schedules:

- Create detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules that align with company goals and customer demands, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely delivery of products.
- Monitor and Optimise Inventory Levels:

- Track inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to prevent overproduction and stockouts, ensuring that materials are available as needed to meet production demands.
- Analyse Production Data and Performance:

- Collect and analyse production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, using this information to adjust schedules and improve overall production efficiency.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Activities:

- Liaise with operations, quality, sourcing, and the broader planning teams to gather information, coordinate schedules, and resolve any interdepartmental issues that may impact production timelines.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
