**About Rheumatology Unit**

The department of Rheumatology provides Adult outpatient services to Monash Medical Centre Clayton, Dandenong, and Casey as well as inpatient care at MMC and inpatient consults at MMC and Dandenong.

The unit is staffed with 21 consultants including 6 fellows, 3 college accredited advanced trainees (registrars), and 4 support staff (nursing/clerical).

The specialist services at Monash ranges from General and Complex Rheumatology, Psoriatic Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Scleroderma, Lupus, Vasculitis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective person-centred care, provide teaching and supervision of specialist registrar trainees and enhance your career.

The unit is also involved in many multicentre clinical trials.

**About the Role**

To support and assist the Director of the Rheumatology Uni at Monash Health in the provision of high quality Rheumatology Services at Monash Health sites, consistent with the Monash Health values.
- Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care.
- Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care.
- Support academic, research, education, training & supervision (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Rheumatology Unit, Monash Health.
- Contribute to the professional and corporate life in Victoria's largest public health service by participation in appropriate committees and educational platforms.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible Rheumatology Services within allocated resources and meets the needs of Monash Health patients.
- Support the Rheumatology Unit's outreach services within Monash Health
- Contribute to the professional and corporate life of Monash Health by participation in appropriate committees and fora.

**What you need**:
Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications

Working with Children's Certificate
