Medical Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.


The successful applicant will be responsible for providing specialist care in Rheumatology, including outpatient consultations and provision of specialist advice to inpatient units as required.


In addition to their clinical duties, the Medical Specialist will be involved in research and quality improvement activities, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.


This is a permanent, full-time position, with the possibility of two positions being available at 0.5 FTE. The working hours are flexible, and on-call duties will be shared among the team members.


The remuneration package includes a base salary, relevant allowances, and other entitlements. The Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 9 classification carries a higher earnings potential based on seniority, in accordance with the current Specialist Medical Practitioner Award (Tasmania).

To be considered for this role, you must hold specialist registration or be an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway. You will also require current Working with Children Registration where applicable.
