**We are looking for an experienced and **knowledgeable professional to join our Clinical, Care & Community Excellence team and support Autism SA compliance with the SA Restrictive Practices Authorisation Scheme.**

**This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working across multiple locations.**
**What you'll accomplish**
As an Authorised Program Officer, you will be responsible for making decisions about regulated restrictive practices for NDIS participants based on guidelines provided by the Restrictive Practices Authorisation Scheme and will work across the organisation's multidisciplinary team and will liaise with key external stakeholders.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Degree in Psychology, Developmental Education or related field;
- Have extensive experience and knowledge in the planning, development; implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of behaviour interventions and supports;
- Be familiar with trauma-informed practices, client-centred practices and impact of colonisation and systemic racism for Aboriginal people;
- Have strong professional networks to seek expertise where issues such as culture, religion, and gender are involved;
- Have a sound understanding of child development and developmental trauma if authorising restrictive practices for children and young people;
- Demonstrated experience in working with Positive Behavioural Support Framework;
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements for disability service providers to achieve restrictive practices compliancy under the NDIS Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices Quality and Safeguard Commission and the NDS guidelines;
- Child Safe Environments Certification within 6 months of commencement.

- DHS Working with Children Clearance (WWCC);
- NDIS Worker Screening Check;
- National Police Check (NPC); and
