**Role Summary**

The Cash Management team is responsible for the analysis of cash holdings across multiple APAC currencies, working closely with Treasury to provide accurate and timely information to enable investment decisions, and for ensuring sufficient liquidity is held at our sub-custodian and agent bank network to meet our market obligations. In addition, the **Consultant** supports broader team functions including management of liquidity for AUD payment flows within the RTGS payment system.

In this role, you will be part of a small and dynamic operational team, reporting to the Manager, International Cash Management, and will build and maintain relationships and knowledge across business, operations, technology, and strategic change teams globally.

**What you will do**:

- Work closely with the Treasury department to calculate and determine currency investments, mitigate risk, and ensure smooth settlement across APAC currencies
- Proactively identify and manage potential liquidity issues, liaising with internal and external parties to mitigate settlement risk
- Perform monitoring and funding across sub-custodian and agent bank accounts
- Retrospectively analyse funding and investment decisions, putting in place remedial actions to aid in future decision making
- Assist to manage day-to-day team deliverables, including query management, reconciliation, and ad hoc reporting requests
- Provide support to the wider team and business unit functions, participating in cross-training and learning opportunities to strengthen team resiliency
- Participate in and lead initiatives, including continuous improvement, market or internal changes, and other small to medium sized projects

**About You**:

- Demonstrated understanding of Global Custody and/or related securities and payment functions
- Strong operational experience, with cash or liquidity management experience desired
- Independent decision making, takes ownership for own actions and outcomes
- Sets priorities and manages competing deadlines, proven organisational skills
- Demonstrates innovative approach to problem solving
- Solid analytical/research skills
- Communicates effectively with staff/managers at the appropriate level
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and develop procedural improvements
- Proven related business experience.
