Job Title: Data Governance Manager
Data governance is a crucial aspect of ensuring the integrity and reliability of data within an organisation. As a Data Governance Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organisational best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern data architectures, data practices, and data technologies, as well as experience in managing large business-critical data platforms. They will also possess strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities to drive end-to-end data processes across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
Providing guidance and oversight on the use of data for new initiatives and projects.
Leading initiatives to improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organisation.
Driving the successful rollout and ongoing development of the data governance framework across various projects and teams.
Implementing and overseeing the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) process to ensure privacy considerations are integrated into data-related projects from their inception.
Requirements:
5-7+ years experience in implementing and operating data management across a large complex organisation.
Experience managing large business-critical data platforms.
Deep understanding of modern data architectures, data practices, and data technologies.
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
Hands-on experience with leveraging data intelligence tools like Securiti.ai, Alation.
