Role
We\'re looking for a super talented Senior Motion Designer / Video Creative to join our in-house agency, Hero Collective to support our global markets (UK, APAC, CA). You live and breathe visual storytelling. You know how to grab attention fast, guide the eye, and leave a lasting impression. Whether it\'s a short-form social ad, a product explainer, or a brand campaign edit, you bring motion, design, and editing together to create content that doesn\'t just look good, it moves people. Your key focus areas will be:
1. Creative Collaboration
Work within a remote-first team of designers, writers, illustrators, and motion specialists, pushing creative boundaries and experimenting with AI-driven ideas.
2. Leadership & Mentorship
Guide motion and video projects from concept to delivery, mentor junior creatives, and shape workflows that bring ideas to life.
3. Motion & Video Expertise
Bring strong editing skills and motion design chops to craft high-impact, engaging content that elevates our brand.
This will include
Craft emotive stories though motion and film
– You\'ll guide project direction, helping define the storytelling vision and ensuring creative excellence across multiple projects. From social reels and product demos to campaign edits and branded explainers, you\'ll shape narrative, guide attention, and bring energy. You know how to work with sound, music, rhythm, and type to tell a great story, fast.
Create motion that connects
– You\'ll bring ideas to life with thoughtful animation, transitions, and motion design. Whether you\'re animating from scratch or directing how things move, you understand flow, feel, and visual impact. You\'ll contribute to concept development sessions, propose bold visual solutions, and collaborate closely with the wider creative team to evolve the visual language of our brand.
Use AI to push the craft
– You\'re exploring GenAI tools like Veo3, Runway, Sora, Midjourney, Pika, or ElevenLabs. Not just to work faster, but to unlock new creative possibilities. Curious and experimental, you integrate AI into your process and champion new tools across the team, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve and always use the best software to create outstanding work.
Storyboard and plan with intent
– You can map out a sequence, sketch ideas, and bring clarity to how something will look and move before you hit play. You can concept fast, iterate often, and explain your thinking clearly to creatives and non-creatives alike.
Collaborate like a pro, remotely
– You\'re a strong communicator who thrives in async and remote-first environments. You know how to keep projects moving, stay aligned, and show up for your team even across time zones.
Push the brand, don\'t just follow it
– You know when to follow the rules and when to bend them. You\'ll help evolve our brand toolkit, suggest fresh takes, and bring a designer\'s eye to how we show up in the world, visually, digitally, and socially.
Who you are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you\'ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you\'ll also bring:
5+ years in video, motion, or creative roles (agency or in-house)
A strong folio and reel with sharp editing, motion design, and storytelling
Deep experience with social-first video, campaign edits, and product explainers
Comfortable working across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and paid social
Confident with tools like After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, Runway, and similar
Actively exploring AI platforms like Veo 3, Sora, Runway, or Pika as part of your creative process
A natural leader who enjoys mentoring and helping team members grow
Strong sense of pacing, flow, and visual taste
Detail-obsessed but never lose sight of the big picture
Curious, proactive, and always experimenting with new ways to make the work better
Bonus points if you...
Can design stills or assets in Figma or Adobe CC
Have built motion systems, templates, or scalable creative workflows
Know your way around voiceover, audio mixing, or sound design
Comfortable with Slack, Asana, Hubspot, Canva, Google Slides
Can confidently storyboard and pitch concepts
Understand the performance side of creative and what makes content convert
