Whitehaven Coal award, recognise and celebrate individuals and teams going above and beyond the requirements of their role to deliver excellent outcomes while demonstrating our values of Safety, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Value and Excellence.Job description: Role OverviewPrimary purpose of this role is responsibility for all facets of training requirements for Training in line with business goals whilst ensuring compliance to the Coal Mine Safety and Health Act and Regulations.What you will do: * Comply with the Health and Safety Management System and Plans, legislative requirements, safety instructions and directions.
* Work closely with our Group operations to effectively rollout training programs for site.
* Maintain awareness of relevant and current training legislation and company policies.
* Demonstrate visible safe working practices and a commitment to safety in the workplace by participating in safety training, managing risk, identifying, and reporting hazards and incidents, and acting as a role model in safety every day.
* Conduct regular audits to evaluate site training system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
* Utilise various training methods, including classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, simulations, and online learning platforms, to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
* Review and Maintain the sites Training Scheme and Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
* Maintain the site LMS (Success Factors) to ensure accuracy against site TNA.What you will bring: * Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all levels.
* Proficiency in reviewing training materials to meet the endorsed components of the RII Training Package.
* Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs using various instructional techniques and technologies.
* Strong knowledge of Mine Training Needs Analysis and competencies within open-cut coal mining environments.
* Strong knowledge of the interrelated nature of training and Safety and Health Management Systems.
* Working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and Regulation 2017.What you will need: * Previous experience in training, development, and Learning Management Systems.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110, TAE40116, TAE40122) or Higher Qualification in Adult Education.
* Strong knowledge of surface extraction operations.
* Strong knowledge of RII Training Package.
* Computer literacy:* Microsoft Office Suite* Success Factors - Advantageous not Essential To apply:
