Commencing on the 24 January 2025.(if you prefer part-time this could be accommodated and Graduate applications will also be seriously considered)About You:The College seeks an outstanding teacher knowledgeable and passionate about Digital and Design Technologies and current pedagogical thinking.
It is expected that you will:Have an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.Demonstrate knowledge of the Design and Digital Technologies curriculum through to VCE.Design and deliver learning experiences that combine theory and practice for concepts including robotics, drones, coding, new and emerging technology, and much more.Create a classroom environment that instils innovative design thinking and real-world problem-solving in our students to encourage creativity and innovative thinking.Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with staff.Show a willingness andthe capacityto contribute to the wellbeing of students.Be open to the possibilities of teaching in flexible learning spaces, including a new purpose-built building opening in 2025.Display innovation in curriculum and collaborative learning approaches.Have a tertiary teaching qualification that enables you to teach Technologies.Display an individual learning disposition that strives for continual improvement.Be a current VIT registered teacher, graduates are welcome to apply.In addition, the preferred applicant will understand and be committed to the ethos of Independent Schooling, be willing to contribute to College events, and adhere to the College's 'Child Safety Policy'.
