Braemar College is an independent, co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College has two campuses, both located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD.

The position is full-time, commencing on 24 January 2025. If you prefer part-time, this could be accommodated. Graduate applications will also be seriously considered.

About You :

The College seeks an outstanding teacher knowledgeable and passionate about Digital and Design Technologies and current pedagogical thinking. It is expected that you will :

  • Have an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people, including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Design and Digital Technologies curriculum through to VCE.
  • Design and deliver learning experiences that combine theory and practice for concepts including robotics, drones, coding, new and emerging technology, and more.
  • Create a classroom environment that fosters innovative design thinking and real-world problem-solving to encourage creativity and innovation.
  • Work collaboratively with staff.
  • Contribute to the wellbeing of students.
  • Be open to teaching in flexible learning spaces, including a new purpose-built building opening in 2025.
  • Display innovation in curriculum and collaborative learning approaches.
  • Hold a tertiary teaching qualification enabling you to teach Technologies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continual improvement and a positive learning disposition.
  • Be a current VIT registered teacher; graduates are welcome to apply.
