is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled
Design and Technology Teacher
to join a committed team. You'll play a vital role in developing the next generation of designers, engineers, and critical thinkers through engaging, real-world projects. Starting ASAP.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver stimulating lessons in line with the national curriculum
Develop pupils' creative, practical, and analytical skills through project-based learning
Teach safe and effective use of tools, machinery and design software (e.g. CAD/CAM)
Track pupil progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
Foster a culture of innovation, resilience, and problem-solving
Manage and maintain a well-organised, safe workshop environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the broader STEM curriculum
Contribute to extracurricular clubs, competitions, and showcase events
Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A relevant degree or equivalent in Design Technology or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge in one or more DT specialisms
Enthusiasm for hands-on, practical teaching and learning
Good classroom management and communication skills as a Design Technology Teacher
A reflective, forward-thinking approach and willingness to innovate
Experience with health and safety procedures in a workshop setting
