The Centre for Southern Hemisphere Ocean Research (CSHOR) has recently been established at CSIRO in Hobart.
CSHOR is a partnership between the Qingdao National Laboratory for Marine Science (QNLM), CSIRO, the University of New South Wales and the University of Tasmania.
It has been funded for an initial 5-year term.
The goal of CSHOR is to better understand the role of the southern hemisphere oceans in regional and global climate, from the tropics to the Southern Ocean.
Current Opportunities Listening sessions for the strategic planning process are scheduled for March and May 2025.
