POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Sales Assistant

Department: Retail Stores

Reports to: Store Manager

Authorised by: Stores Development Manager

Overall Position Purpose:
To provide advice and general sales assistance to retail and trade customers in-store and on the telephone.

To actively promote Haymes products and services, including colour consulting services, to all customers.

To maximise the conversion of enquiries into sales.

Experience and Qualifications:
Successful completion of Year 11 or relevant trade experience
Certificate II and III in retail operations is desirable
Intermediate computer skills ( MS Office packages )
Retail sales experience in a dynamic environment
Current Drivers Licence

1) HEALTH & SAFETY Contribute to store housekeeping and general cleaning duties
Report safety concerns immediately to store manager or supervisor
Adhere to all safe working procedures Assist store manager with completion of monthly store safety inspections

2) CUSTOMER FOCUS Provides customer assistance for telephone and in-store sales enquiries
