**What this job involves**:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to provide facilities management services to assigned commercial properties, including hard and soft building services management, Risk and Compliance management.
The Operations Manager will provide relief coverage to our existing engineering and operational staff while they are on annual leave.
**A snapshot of the role**:
Maintain building presentation standards, including ensuring all items of plant and equipment in the assigned properties are maintained and operate correctly through close management of contractor services.
Ensure all health and safety risks are identified and appropriately managed and escalated.
Sustainability - collate data and coordinate consultants to enable NABERS and Green Star ratings to occur. Identify and recommend improvements to assigned properties.
Coordinate and sign off maintenance tasks in JLL maintenance software platforms. Verify completion of regular maintenance tasks.
Manage site contractors through regular meetings, building performance and compliance with contract requirements.
Manage engineering and building maintenance contracts including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, security, building fabric and fire contracts. Periodically re-tender service agreements and contracts using client approved JLL contracts and procedures only.
Respond to and manage ad-hoc requests for repair and maintenance within pre-determined budget and reasonable expectations re timeliness.
**Sound like you? This is what we're looking for**:
Extensive experience in property / facilities / project management or service-related fields.
Demonstrated knowledge of building technical services, especially HVAC, fire protection and electrical services.
Ability to deal with a variety of complex issues concurrently, within tight operational deadlines.
Customer focus with an ability to work independently.
Sound computer skills including Microsoft suite of products.
Be punctual, well presented, helpful and reliable at all times.
