We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at our Inverell Facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our elderly residents in a compassionate, efficient, and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including storage and handling of food, utensils, and equipment.
Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other staff members.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.
Assist with seasonal menu planning.
About you:
You will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
While previous experience working in a Healthcare setting is desirable, it is not a strict requirement for this role.
Essential:
Proven experience as a in a similar environment.
Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.

Safe Food Handling Training
Chemical Handling certificate
Previous experience working in the aged care or health sectors
