Senior Analyst/Manager, Operational RiskThe Risk Management Group is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risks across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior Business and Risk Management executives across the group to ensure robust operational risk practices.
You will provide thought leadership and practical advice to businesses on operational risk management, as well as delivering education to enhance risk awareness.
You will review new business initiatives, identify and manage key operational risks, and ensure stakeholder engagement in the approval process.
Developing a deep understanding of the business risk profile and processes, you will act as a catalyst for change where necessary, ensuring risk and control self-assessments are current and comprehensive.You will also analyze incidents to ensure swift resolution, capture lessons learned, and share insights for improvement.
Addressing operational issues through targeted projects or reviews, developing extreme loss event scenarios for Operational Risk Capital calculations, and responding to stakeholder requests are also key responsibilities.What you offerA tertiary degree in Finance or a related field is essential; postgraduate qualifications (CA, CPA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.Over 4 years of experience in Risk Management, Operational Risk, or Internal/External Audit within financial or professional services.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and consulting skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and consider commercial and risk factors.Familiarity with the regulatory environment relevant to Macquarie.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to engage with management and business leaders.Tenacity, flexibility, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, independently and collaboratively.We welcome anyone inspired to build a better future with us to apply.What we offerWellbeing leave and additional service bonus leave days.Paid parental leave, transition leave, and gender affirmation leave.Volunteer leave, donation matching, and wellbeing benefits.Salary packaging options and professional development opportunities.Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, and support for remote work equipment.About the Risk Management GroupOur independent, centralised group oversees Macquarie's material risks through review, challenge, oversight, and reporting.
