We are expanding global operations, bringing Surf'N'Turf to market, and advancing our pipeline of algae-derived products to serve agriculture, consumer, and therapeutic markets.We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead, design, and scale our engineering team.
This role combines technical leadership with people management, ensuring our engineers are empowered to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence.
ResponsibilitiesRecruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talentGuide a high-performing engineering teamEstablish and maintain engineering best practices and processesGuide technical strategy and architecture for scalable systemsCollaborate with R&D, production, and quality teamsOversee project delivery, timelines, and resourcesProvide hands-on leadership in design, reviews, and problem-solvingCommunicate progress, risks, and technical trade-offs to stakeholdersChampion innovation and adoption of new technologies
QualificationsProven experience as an Engineering Manager or Lead, ideally in biotech, agtech, or related industriesStrong background in systems design or industrial automationExperience building and scaling engineering teams in a commercial environmentExcellent leadership and communication skillsExperience with agile methodologies and modern engineering practicesPassion for sustainability and biotechnologyExposure to IoT, robotics, or process automationKnowledge of bioprocessing, cultivation systems, or lab/industrial instrumentationFamiliarity with cloud-based data platforms, control systems, or machine learning integration
