The Graduate Programme is a comprehensive 24 month programme designed to equip graduates with the technical skills and individual competencies to embark upon a successful career within the BNP Paribas Group. This opportunity includes a formal mentoring programme, graduate community initiatives, relevant technical training and on-the-job learning from our senior managers and highly experienced team members.
**Responsibilities**
As a client focussed role, employees have an opportunity to make an impact on the desk. The role provides hands on experience working as part of a team of client facing sales trading operatives covering clients trading electronically using BNPP's leading low touch (DMA, algorithmic trading & program trading) platform.
Provide support to the cash equity execution desk in Australia covering Australian / New Zealand equity execution domestic client business as well as global clients trading into Australia/New Zealand.
Learn about equity execution including market operating dynamics and algorithmic trading of stocks and ETF's as well as compliance and legal obligations of the role and support partners in operations and technology.
Provide support for daily coverage for Institutional, Hedge Fund, Quant & Systematic execution clients using BNPP's algorithmic and DMA execution as well as Program Trading offerings.
Ultimately aiming to build the skills to become a junior cash execution and client coverage sales trader.
To be considered for the placement, you will:
- Possess GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline;
- Have to be fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are an advantage); and
- Demonstrate methodical, logical, solution-driven thinking, with commercial awareness and a keen interest in latest finance topics as well as market trends.
