**About the role**

**What you'll do**:

- Uphold and contribute to Tyro's strong risk culture by complying with our policies, completing mandatory training and identifying and managing risks within your day-to-day work

**Corporate Advisory & Data Leadership**
- Own and maintain Tyro's data-asset roadmap ensuring clear strategic and commercial alignment.
- Advise stakeholders across the business on practical data-solutions to their problems based on the commercial value and materiality of impact (use estimation approaches where more appropriate).
- Negotiate priorities with senior leaders to ensure developed data-assets that can and will be explicitly used to drive business decisions are prioritised based on impact.
- Embed yourself into the Data Engineering team to bring commercial expertise, co-design data models, and gets hands-on in the creation of prototyping varying levels of fidelity before testing with internal users.
- Regularly meet with key stakeholders within the business to understand current and future business plans and translate those plans into required reporting requirements.
- Plan and conduct regular internal interviews, to synthesis commercial objectives from across the business to keep your Data Engineering team and Analytical teams up to date on current and future requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and consequent advice to senior leadership on areas of performance that requires investigative support including surfacing detailed data sources that otherwise have not yet been surfaced.
- Remain up to data on the latest trends within data and insights and provide guidance on industry best practice tools and techniques.
- Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape to contextualise advise with an understanding of the environment.

**Relationship Management**
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring effective communication, and alignment of priorities.
- Work to develop company-wide understanding of the drivers of performance across the organisation through both the lens of the customer and our shareholders.
- Develop and cross-skill other members of the team.

**What you'll bring**:

- Experience in a data strategist or commercial role with a focus on analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate complex data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to senior leadership.
- Experience working in teams practicing Agile methods.
- Professional experience working with data sets and writing SQL statements.
- Professional experience with data visualisation and dash boarding tools (Tableau, Tableau prep and/or Alteryx)
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to advise C-suite decision makers on business dynamics and drivers.
- Proven experience drawing linkages between business performance drivers to customer and shareholder value creation.
