**Key Responsibilities**
- Researching and evaluating technologies and savings opportunities across both schemes.
- Customer and market research to help target the program. You will answer questions like which technologies we should be focusing on, which areas in NSW aren't accessing incentives, and how can we best encourage customers and suppliers to install energy-efficient appliances and equipment.
- Manage large contracts to deliver in targeted areas.
- Work with communications specialists, suppliers, installers, and a range of other stakeholders to improve literacy and interest.
- Use your technical expertise and project management skills to support the delivery of existing initiatives, such as the metering and monitoring planning program, and help design new ones.

**Key knowledge, skills and experience**
- 3 to 5 years experience in delivering projects or consulting on energy efficiency, electrification and/or renewable energy OR 3 to 5 years experience in environmental or sustainability roles with a focus on strategic energy efficiency, peak demand, distributed energy, or emissions reductions OR 3 to 5 years experience in ESG, net zero transition planning consulting, or net zero frameworks and standards.
- Experience in energy metering and monitoring.
- Technical degrees, such as engineering or science, or sustainability. We may also consider someone with strong government experience or someone with a legal or communications background.
- Understanding of the market forces and technical details of equipment and processes that influence how households and businesses consume, reduce and shape their energy use.
- Understanding of commercial and industrial energy-intensive equipment such as boilers, compressors, chillers, and options for electrification, e.g. heat pump water heaters.
- Excellent project management skills including the demonstrated ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time and within budget.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a broad audience
- Highly regarded - Understanding of energy efficiency technologies.
