Reticulation Maintenance Worker (Labourer)
Permanent Full Time opportunity available (9 day fortnight, 38 hours/week).

Responsibilities
This labouring role assists the Water Team to provide an effective water operation and maintenance service, coordinating site access, permits, safety and statutory permissions to perform maintenance activities.
Conduct activities for major maintenance, breakdown, and planned works to minimise costs, ensure asset maintenance, reduce downtime, and reduce reactive maintenance requirements.
Within Bulk Water Treatment, concentrate on flushing reticulation mains, monitoring water quality through chlorine residual testing in the reticulation network, and reactive maintenance to water reticulation quality issues.
This position is located at the Garbutt Operations Centre in Garbutt.
About You / Qualifications
Mandatory
Current "MR" class driver's licence (or ability to obtain within 6 months of appointment)
Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD)
Ability to work as part of a team to quickly avert or rectify interruptions to water supply
Strong community and customer relations skills
Strong work ethic
Desirable
Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, EEO, anti-discrimination and privacy obligations, and QLD Local Government Act
Traffic Management Implementation course accredited
Asbestos awareness training and experience in removal of asbestos piping
Dogman or Crane Chaser certification
Forklift certification
