We're looking for an HR Manager to join our growing team. We're a global technology business, headquartered in the UK and with a global team of 350+ employees. Dotdigital was founded in 1999 and we now work with over 4000 clients across a range of industries. We currently have about 35 employees in our APAC region, based in Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore and Tokyo.
You'll be reporting to the HR Director and working within an HR department of 10. The rest of the team are all based in the UK; this is a regional stand-alone role. We're a busy, hands-on team with a supportive employee culture. You'll be responsible for generalist HR management across our APAC business. Day to day the role will be very varied across a range of operational activity including speaking directly to employees and managers to support them, managing the recruitment for the region, overseeing our busy onboarding process, managing our employee queries, approving payroll briefings, and working across a broad range of strategic global and local projects. You'll be working closely with the Regional Director in APAC and other senior leaders in the region.
You'll be an HR professional with 4+ years of generalist HR experience who's happy to work independently in this important role for the region. You'll ideally be based in/near Melbourne or Sydney and will be able to work from the office one or two days a week, homeworking the rest of the time. There will be occasional travel to other offices in the region. Curiosity, empathy and attention to detail will be key strengths to allow you to be successful in the role.
**Role and responsibilities**:
- Be an operational HR generalist across our APAC region
- Support managers and employees with day-to-day inquiries
- Manage all recruitment in the region (approx 15 hires in the next year)
- Oversee people actions including new hires, promotions, increases, transfers, leaves of absences, terminations and other requests ensuring all required information is obtained, actions steps are taken, appropriate parties are informed
- Use your knowledge and understanding of the organisation to contribute to the design of any future HR initiatives and to provide input into the organisation-wide HR Strategy and Policy formulation
- Global and local project input and delivery with the rest of the HR department
- Manage local HR suppliers and renewals
- Manage and approve payroll briefings
- Escalation for employee support
- Implement local HR initiatives
- Local new starter virtual and face to face onboarding (supported by our online onboarding program)
- Keep up to date with employment legislation changes and ensure implementation across the business including employment contracts and handbooks
- Ensure all activity is in line with the Dotdigital diversity, equity and inclusion policies
- Promote company culture and values
