**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to develop, monitor, and oversee a consistent work, health, safety, quality management and compliance culture at Amaroo. The Quality, Compliance and WHS Coordinator is responsible for consulting across the organisation, leading continuous improvement and implementing Amaroo's nonclinical quality, compliance and risk management systems.

The role will review and maintain or develop and publish (in consultation with key stakeholders) appropriate policies and standards; monitor and report on compliance of Regulatory/Quality Assurance (QA) and WHS processes; facilitate/manage reporting on audits and resulting actions; oversee incident and nonconformance reporting, assist with identifying corrective and preventative actions and coordinate associated action plans; provide advice and support across the organisation on WHS and Regulatory/QA; and ensure compliance with various quality frameworks and legislative requirements including the Aged Care Act and Work Health and Safety Act.

WHS Responsibilities
- This role will lead health and safety initiatives and development of a Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture for Amaroo Care Services Inc. (Amaroo).
- Coordinate WHS activities across the business and contribute to the development and implementation of plans regarding key health and safety strategies. Recommend operational and business requirements to support those strategic objectives for continuous improvement, meeting legislation and or code requirements and supporting best practice principles.
- Advise management regarding responsibilities under the WHS Act and the overall state of occupational health and safety at the workplace, including monthly management reporting on the status of the WHS programme.
- Provide training and guidance for WHS committees and coordinate their reporting requirements to ensure they have the skills to identify risks, operate and report effectively. Prepare and deliver appropriate training and education materials including induction materials and toolbox talks.
- Review committee activities to ensure hazards and unsafe workplace conditions and practices have been identified, reported, and actioned. Monitor corrective actions to ensure risks are eliminated, isolated or minimised and maintained on the various registers and reporting requirements as per Amaroo's WHS Programme.
- Supervising the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe working conditions including reporting of identified hazards and appropriate risk control measures to the Executive Management Team. Review the circumstances of any work injury, illness and dangerous event, identify and corrective action. Coordinate with Management to ensure incidents that need reporting to the EMT/Board are done so and subsequently liaise with and comply with any associated audits and investigations. Advise on the potential requirement for legal support.
- Works with Managers to develop, implement and maintain a WHS Management system aligned with the AS/NZS4801 standards and ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement. This will require developing/reviewing health and safety policies and procedures in consultation with employees.
- Assistance in compliance processes related to visitors and contractors.
- Ensure adequate fire protection equipment and current validation, and training of wardens and staff is ongoing. Coordinate the activities of first Aiders (where applicable) to ensure adequate coverage and training is appropriate and current. Ensure first aid kits are complete and current.
- Ensure dangerous goods and materials are correctly stored and the appropriate SDS are available, and staff are trained in handling the goods and any potential spills.
- Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the WHS Program and relevant legislation.

Quality/Regulatory Compliance Responsibilities
- Support and help develop a Quality Management culture across Amaroo, ensuring ongoing compliance activities across the organisation and contribute to the development and implementation of plans regarding key compliance strategies and continuous improvement.
- Prepare monthly management reports on the status of quality and regulatory compliance (Q/RC) activities. Advise management about compliance responsibilities, and institute and maintain an effective compliance program, including promoting the understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
- Manage the development, maintenance and review of policies and procedures for the Quality Management System and related activities to ensure they are relevant and provide effective management, consumer satisfaction and meeting Quality requirements.
