Retail Leasing Manager

**_** 6 month fixed-term contract_**

The role of the Retail Leasing Manager is to work closely with the Head of Retail and Asset Management to plan and negotiate retail (and other when required) leasing contracts across the Airport.

The role will be responsible for leading negotiations, preparing commercial offers, leases, licences and agreements associated with the Commercial Property business (predominantly retail) to maximise revenue.

With the aviation and travel sector booming, on top of major projects that will underpin the future growth and development of Melbourne Airport and Victoria as a whole, now is a very exciting time to join

**Key responsibilities**:

- The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Responsibility for negotiating new deals and renewals across all terminals
- Review of performance of existing tenants
- Recommendation as to whether to renew of replace tenant
- Identifying a short list of appropriate retailers
- Negotiations with interested parties to secure optimal deal
- Documentation of terms on formal offer to be signed by retailer
- Assisting Legal department in preparation of lease and follow ups with retailer
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, project / asset management or similar.
- Detailed knowledge of the retail leases act
- 3+ years of retail leasing experience in shopping centres, airports or other retail would be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and linking of data sets
- Proven negotiation skills and an ability to develop effective partnerships
